The Radiodetection RD312 Metal Detector will pick up all ferrous and non-ferrous metals but only reach depths down to a maximum of 76cm. For Example, someone who is looking for steel survey markers may end up digging up an aluminium can if they were to use the RD312 over a Schonstedt locator.
