NextGeneration SONET/SDH devices are highly integrated platforms. They provide very high port density and port counts, as well as the ability to support multiple SONET/SDH rings. These devices are much more complex than legacy SONET/SDH equipment and create new challenges for the design of appropriate test procedures. The ONT-506/512, with Multi-Channel test and Multi-Port configuration, is the answer to manufacturer's development/system verification as well as service provider's acceptance testing. The ONT-506/512's mixed mapping load generation and full parallel analysis moves testing away from typical results and eliminates the risk of relying on a single test channel.
