TestPoint Group Controller

TestPoint Group Controller single slot module is optional and connects into slot 0. It performs three main functions. The first is to provide a single point of test system management access when the TestPoint chassis contains multiple test modules. Individual modules can be LAN connected directly on their faceplates or via the Group Controller over the chassis backplane. The second is to provide global test functions to control testing across multiple modules in a chassis. The third is to provide clocking capabilities beyond those available on individual test modules. Each test module may use its internal clock or recovered timing. The Group Controller provides additional clock functions, such as external clock inputs, for distribution over the backplane.
