This 5-day course focuses on planning fibre optic networks that use direct detection technology (up to 40Gbps) and it lays the foundation for progression to the Certified Optical Network Engineer course. It is ideal for optical network planners, network operations staff, and related roles.
Certified Fibre Characterisation Engineer
This 5-day course is designed for test engineers who want to apply the full power of multi-purpose test platforms to carry out full fibre characterisation, including loss, reflection, bi-directional OTDR testing, chromatic dispersion, Polarisation Mode Dispersion, and spectral attenuation measurements.
Certified Optical Network Engineer
The 5-day CONE course tackles optical network design when using coherent transmission (100Gbps+) and digital signal processing. It also focuses on the challenges of increasing capacity, extending reach, increasing flexibility, controlling latency, providing quality of service, and going open and interoperable.
